Each Tidewater release is delivered as a complete trolling system, paired with the Daiwa Saltist 20LWLC reel and refined around the way the rod behaves through the trolling spread. Guide placement and line path were developed to maintain natural response from the butt section through the tip while the rod is engaged, staying connected through the sudden weight change when a salmon turns, digs, and starts pulling line with intent.
Built on the proven 1065 platform, the system carries the backbone needed to control powerful fish while retaining enough forgiveness in the upper section to keep the rod alive through hard directional changes and deep runs near the boat.
